Hello CYAA Families and Friends,
We have posted a short video update on our website and social media regarding the postponement of basketball due to the COVID-19 and Safer at Home order by the counties and state. Please watch the video for info on what we are planning and if you have any question please contact us at email@example.com
I hope you all are doing the best you can given the situation. We are praying for all of you. Remember, even on our darkest day or darkest hour, God is there. His will is best for us. His ways are beyond our own understanding. I pray that we all have the faith and unconditional love for Christ to continue to stand by him when our own will and desires are not met. His will be done, His kingdom come!Stay safe & healthy. God Bless, Steve.
In light of the COVID-19 situation. CYAA has chosen to move its basketball season start date back to May 2, 2020 for Divisions 1 – K and May 8, 2020 for High School Division. This will take our season through June, ending for all divisions the weekend of June 26, 2020. We understand that this situation is fluid and changing daily. It is our intention to keep all our athletes, families and volunteers safe and reduce the risk of any illness or injury. It is our hope that by starting at this later date, the COVID-19 situational risk level will have resolved, and life would start to return to a normal state.
Please use caution and take in mind CYAA’s recommendations when holding a practice. CYAA still recommends all practices be on hold. CYAA recommends practices for all divisions start no earlier than April 18, 2020. If you do hold a practice, please use all precautionary measures to lower the risk to any player and their families. Most public parks and schools have been shut down in the areas of Ontario and Chino through Mid-April or later. We ask that you adhere to this recommendation considering the situation. Our priority is the athletes and their families.
Again, we understand this situation is fluid and changing daily. As developments arise and we are made aware of them we will respond accordingly and as promptly as possible. Remember, God is in control. We may not always understand His vision, but we must trust with faith that He is in control. He carries us through the hardest days even when we don’t feel His presence. He is faithful and trustworthy.
“For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!” “Instead, seek His kingdom, and these things will be added to you. Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” Luke 12:23-24, 31-32 ESV.
